Australian Renovation Group was established in 2000 by our Directors, Peter Bottecchia and Stuart Redwood, who have been friends since their school days. Peter and Stuart have worked together on home renovations and improvements for all of their working lives.
ARG started out with mostly small home renovations in Perth, driven by Peter and Stuart’s passion for giving new life to old homes. From these character home renovations, ARG’s business gradually developed and grew to include large-scale projects for both older-style and contemporary home renovations, extensions and second storey additions.
Our business is the product of a solid and loyal relationship and now we look forward to getting to know you – and helping you create the next chapter in the story of your home.

What do we do first?
We meet with you in your home to discuss the requirements for your proposed alterations or additions. We then provide you with an estimation of costs for your renovation and a list of client referrals.

How do we know what our renovation will look like?
The next step is to document a set of Conceptual Drawings. At this point, you will have the opportunity to view 3D images of the design concept and begin choosing the final finish of your home.

How much will our renovation cost?
Once you are satisfied with your Conceptual Drawings, we prepare a fixed-price quotation for you. This quotation is based on the plans and any finishes you selected during the design process.

When are the plans drawn up?
When you have refined your ideas and you have accepted the quotation, we document a formal set of plans which are used for the approvals and contract processes.

Who obtains council approval?
There are two steps to the approvals process; planning and building and we take care of these for you. Planning (or development) approval generally takes 6–8 weeks and a building permit should be granted approximately 3 weeks after contract signing. These timelines can vary depending on the individual council and the extent of the proposed renovation.

When can we start building?
Once planning and building approvals are obtained, and after your contract documents have been signed, we will schedule a convenient start date with you.

When can we move back in?
Depending on your scope of works, you may need to move out of your home while construction is underway. We will work closely with you to find the right solution for your particular
situation. We have the flexibility to complete work in stages or plan construction around your lifestyle so that you may be able to remain living at home during the construction phase.
